Diagonal lines move up and down, and left to right at varied angles.
Often the first thing noticed in this scene is the slanted horizon of the ocean and diagonal twisters. Here we see the easily recognizable use of diagonal lines. Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
Diagonal lines are often used to give a sense of energy, movement, and action. Seen here is the heavy use of such lines which immediately cause the viewer to feel danger and violent motion as suggested by the slanted ocean in comparison to the character in focus as well as the leaning twisters.
