Describing FORM: What is the specific communicative strategy? Where is it found?
One could easily glance at this image and remember its simplicity, from the flag unfurling, to the men raising it. The top of the flag pole down to the base of the mountain forms a geometric shape.
Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
To me this image is incredibly inspiring. Forget the brutal circumstances in which the flag was raised, but the angle of the flagpole, combined with firm base and foundation of the men raising it, and the sense of the flag blowing in the wind gives it an organic property and practically brings it to life.
