Even/hard textures can feel cold and sterile. The texture does not vary much.
Discussing content: What does it communicate?
The texture that is predominant in the picture is hard and even. Although the cup is all cracked, the texture is hard and even and it seems that it is accomplishing the duty of holding the milk together. The predominance of that texture (in the cup, table and wall) makes the scenario look clean and sterile in some way. The constrast with the soft and even texture of the milk and the hard and uneven of the cookies make a perfect balance when talking about composition.
