ELEMENT – HIGH CONTRAST
Describing FORM: What is the specific communication strategy? Where is it found?
High contrast design employs values that are far apart from each other on the value scale. Based on the image, we can easily see the dark church and trees while there’s a bright incoming which gives off a huge scale between the scale.
Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
The high contrast value is used to depict a dramatic scene and cause emotions relating to the moment. In the image, we see that the environment is emitted from the bright comet which brings a feeling of destruction or something similar to apocalyptic.
