Principle-Focal Point:Focal Point by Contrast
Describing FORM: What is the specific commutative strategy? Where is it found?
Focal point by contrast can be classified as something that your eye is attracted to because of how different it looks. This image from the movie, Skyfall is the perfect example of that. There is a very obvious spot of light shining on James Bond's face which contrasts his very black silhouete and draws your eye to his face.
Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
What this image is trying to communicate is a feeling of urgency and drama. It acheives this so well with the way that the light is so sharp as it cuts through the dark, revealing Jame's tense face which is only partly in view. Without that focal point having so much of a sharp contrast, the image would lose its intesity and overall feel of danger.
