PRINCIPLE-- MULTIPLE IMAGE
Discussing FORM: What is the specific communicative strategy? Where is it found?
The specific communicative strategy shown is Multiple Image. Multiple Image is when an object moves, it occupies various positions in space. The same object positioned in a slightly different location is interpreted as an object in motion. This is found in the photo below, there are 7 shots of the same model in similar outfits but different positioning in each shot. So this gives the illusion that the model is in motion.
Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
Multiple Image usually communicates movement, and it’s a lot to focus on. In the image below, the same model is shot seven times in different outfits and different poses which gives that illusion of motion. In each frame she has a different outfit on so we could think of it as different stages at a party for example. Each frame depicts a different movement which tells the model’s story. The different images is what makes the content interesting and the fact that each of the photos are somewhat interacting with each other which makes everything flow smoothly.
