Proportion is the size relationship of different part(s) to the whole. Exaggerated proportion is when one particular object is larger/out of scale.
We can see that the head of character is bigger that its body.
Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
Scientists believe that what makes babies cute is huge proportion of their head to their bodies; which is called ‘baby schema’. In the World of Final Fantasy, the team behind the game knows this well. They made the head of the character much larger than the body to give it a sense of cuteness. It also creates playful and friendly feelings. And to honest, it makes feel that you want to hug the them or pet them.
