PRINCIPLE: Exaggerated Scale
Defining FORM: What is the specific communicative strategy? Where is it found?
Scale is the relative size of an object. We tend to determine whether an object is small or large by comparing it to ourselves, the human figure. Exaggerated scale can be found here by looking at the sink and bar of soap. They are normal sized to the human in the foreground, while the characters in the sink are significantly smaller.
Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
It reminds me of the days when you were so little your mother would just bathe you in the sink. We might not remember them, but they happened. It symbolizes a sense of nostalgia, and a yearning to go back to simpler times.
