ART101 Section B —Apparel design : Human scale , large scale
Describing FORM: What is the specific communicative strategy?
Where is it found?
Human scale is the size of an object relative to the size of our body. Without a human figure present, we are uncertain to the size of objects . In this image , you can tell it is large scale by the large mountains behind the woman .
Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
When an image has a large scale we can often times feel distant or overlook the rest of the image and only see the large scale item . However , in this image even though the mountains are large scale , they do not distract you from the woman . The way the woman is placed between the two large mountains communicates balance. She can take on the large and the small and still be seen . The image overall to me exudes confidence and wonder . The large scale of the mountains help us infer that this woman won’t be forgotten . This as the consumer, makes us to want to look so good. for us to think , even beautiful mountains won’t take away from my shine .
