Describing FORM: What is the specific commutative strategy? Where is it found?
There is some intuitive sixth sense that we have as humans to relate to others through our eyes. In this screencap from Jurassic Park, there is a deffinate connection between the audience and the characters in the scene. This comes from relating to the characters by also being human. the effect is that we can see ourselves in the place of the characters on scene and recognize that the dinosaur infront of us is absolutely massive! The dinosaur is so tall that its head doesn't fit in the frame.
Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
If this shot communicates anything, its that that brontosaur is awesome and you can only wish that you were there to see it for yourself. If this were a T-rex this would be frightening because it would be a towering predator, but this has the opposite effect. This gentle giant could crush you if it wanted to, but it doesn't, so there's some trust there and respect.
