PRINCIPLE—SPACE: One Point Perspective

A method for creating the illusion of space on a 2-dimensional surface by showing parallel lines as converging on one vanishing point on the horizon line, while the objects are parallel to the picture plane.
Easily noticed in this picture is how the viewer’s eyes are drawn to the center of the screen due to the position of the camera. Here we can identify the one point perspective being used. Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
One point perspective is commonly used to give a dramatic, focused view. As seen in the screenshot below, the throne at the focal point gives a sense of wonder and awe due to the angle used.
