PRINCIPLE—Unity: Repetition
Describing FORM: What is the specific communicative strategy? Where is it found?
Unity in repetition is when objects that share similar elements are repeated and appear related. All the figures here share the same general shape and texture, however much the colors vary from outfit to outfit. Their stance, the shared use of psychic line and similarities in the garments worn--not to mention the fact that the same model is very obviously used each time--we can assume these figures are all touting the same collection
Discussing CONTENT: What does it communicate?
The use of similar shapes makes the designs of the garments more prevalent. It displays a certain versatility that is lauded in the fashion atmosphere. The piece almost seems to say “there are strength in numbers” with the very static use of the same silhouette in each figure. The varying colors and designs seem to hold hands to each other to create a holistically harmonious and beautiful piece.
